Jobs4refugees had a great kick-off event to our latest Vocational Preparation Course for Refugees in Pankow.

As part of the five-day project week, there was a wide range of topics and discussions. An intercultural training gave the first orientation to the German labor market as well as a lot of space for open questions. Within this workshop, the main focus lay on the creation of individual competence profiles of each individual refugee. Based on what was learned, the refugees were enabled to formulate their own professional or educational goals. A one-day employment training course provided information about the rights and obligations of a worker.

An application workshop took place on the last day of the project week. Employees of the consulting firm Accenture have voluntarily offered their help in order to send an application and CV to the desired company in one-to-one care with a refugee.

Overall, the project week was very successful and we received great feedback from the participants. We now hope for a lot of feedback from the companies that have received applications.
